I am a high school student who just enjoys the hell out of cinema. I plan on going into the movie profession, most likely as an editor, but hopefully moving onto other things, such as a cinematographer or writer. This blog is essentially for me to just get my ideas out there. I don't plan on doing anything extra special or doing reviews on every film that comes out; I'll write what I feel like writing about -- thoughts, rants and the occasional review.

I try to watch as many movies as I can from as many genres as I can. I typically find dramas, thrillers and adventure films to be my favorite. Check out my top 50 favorites if you're ever at a loss at what to watch! Hopefully there's something there you'll enjoy, and I'd love to hear what you think of it.

I'm not here to impress or be the charismatic film guy that everyone agrees with. I want to be honest and give my honest takes on movies. I apologize if I don't like a certain film that you like; opinions are awesome and you should give them a chance.

That being said, I hope you enjoy Movie Stub and find something that interests you! Email me if you have any questions or if you just want to talk about movies!

Q: What are your favorite movies?
A: Just swing by my Top 50 favorite movies! But for the lazy, here's my top ten in alphabetical order... 12 Angry Men, American Beauty, Cidade de Deus, Jaws, Magnolia, Network, Paris Texas, The Departed, The Godfather and Zodiac.

Q: What are your least favorite movies?
A: I usually don't focus on movies I dislike; it's much more fun discussing the goods. However, here
are a few movies I just didn't like at all: Piranha 3D, Hunger, The Fifth Element, Repulsion, The Docks of New York and Little Fockers.

Q: What are your favorite television shows?
A: Breaking Bad, Freaks and Geeks, Louie, Game of Thrones, Hey Arnold!, Malcolm in the Middle, The Simpsons, House of Cards and Spongebob

Q: What are your favorite bands?
A: Pink Floyd, Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem, Fleetwood Mac, Slow Club, Band of Horses and Led Zeppelin

Q: What are your favorite books?
A: I need to read more but...To Kill a Mockingbird, The Giving Tree, Harry Potter (Phoenix is my favorite), Perks of Being a Wallflower and Lord of the Flies

Q: Who are your favorite directors?
A: David Fincher, Stanley Kubrick, Richard Linklater, Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan

Q: What happened to your YouTube account?
A: I've been taking a long break. I had announced and was working on a Breaking Bad tribute video, but I got really busy/stressed and couldn't give it the attention it deserved. I plan on returning in December with Movies of 2014! I hope everything works out and I can edit a few others  – definitely want to tackle BrBa and Linklater.

Q: Who is your favorite superhero?
A: I know it's a little over said but I gotta go with Batman. The Killing Joke is my favorite comic, I still can't comprehend how amazing that is. Nolan's trilogy was great, Burton's Batman was awesome and I even have a liking for the 1960's series. I also dig The Hulk.
